Plan Kenya has the following vacancies:

PROJECT OFFICER – EDUCATION (2 positions) Based in Kisumu and Kwale
The job holder/s will provide the overall implementation of the Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) projects in line with PULTP strategies and ensures sensitization of the community about Plan’s new strategy by facilitating appropriate networks. He/she is responsible for the development and execution of the education project outlines and control of budgets and in charge of the designing, implementation, monitoring and reporting on the project activities. 

Key responsibilities
 Project implementation in line with budget
 Submission of timely and accurate project documents
 Regular project implementation updates in the PPM.
 Active participation in partnerships with CSOs and communities
 Preparation, sharing and actualization of work plans in line with the project outlines.
  Participate in the designing, implementing and monitoring education project in line with the PULTP and CSP
 
Communications and Working Relationships
The incumbent is expected to maintain a high level of external communication/contact at the community, Districts and County levels. A medium level of external communication with the INGO and high level of communication with LNGO, CBOs partners in the county is expected as well as a low level of external communication with Plan NOs (sponsorship communications such as AOs and AUs, Grants funded projects)
 
Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience
 Degree and/or Diploma in Community Development or related field
 3 years’ experience in community development
 Good interpersonal and relationship skills and experience
 Skills in managing project implementation and monitoring is critical
 Good communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
 Strong report writing skills.
 Conflict management skills
 Networking, partnership development and management skills.
Motorbike riding skills.

 Fundraising/resource mobilization skills

2. PROJECT OFFICER, LIVELIHOOD – Based in Bondo
The job holder/s will provide the overall implementation of the Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) projects in line with PULTP strategies and ensures sensitization of the community about Plan’s new strategy by facilitating appropriate networks. He/she is responsible for the development and execution of livelihood project outlines and control of budgets and in charge of the designing, implementation, monitoring and reporting on the project activities.

People & Culture Administrator – Based in Nairobi
Plan is seeking to recruit a People & Culture Administrator based at the Country Office in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be required to provide administrative and technical support to the HR function. He/she will be expected to resolve challenges which typically occur in human resource management as well as demonstrate the ability to solve problems, think strategically and ensure that Plan policies and local labour laws are adhered to. The position reports to the People & Culture Manager.
 
Key responsibilities
 Facilitate the recruitment process to ensure the right staff, at the right time and in the right place in order to satisfy the human resources needs
 Offer HR- related guidance to staff and supervisors
 Assist in job analysis and job evaluation to determine the relative worth of jobs, accurate JDs, accurate job adverts and placing of jobs in the correct salary grade
 Coordinate training and development, orientation and identification of periodic staff development gaps needed to determine the right skills for training.
 Coordinate performance management to assess performance against set objectives
 Compensation and benefits administration
 Keeping employee records whilst meeting statutory requirements
Implementation of HRIS Increasing access to HR data by staff, hence ensuring service improvement and overall operational efficiency
 Ensure all HR process are compliant to the HR policies and the labour laws
 
Educational Qualifications and Experience
 A Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
 2-3 years’ experience in human resource
 Knowledge and experience of HR processes
 Good understanding and the application of statutory and labour laws
 Good understanding of best practices in HR
