Duration of Service
The Deputy Commission Secretary (Support Services) shall hold office for a term of five years but shall be eligible for re-appointment for one further term of five years.
In addition to the qualifications set above, the applicants must further meet and evidence the following clearances:
a) Director, Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC)
b) Director, Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
c) Commissioner General, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
d) Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)
e) Chief Executive Officer, Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
f) Professional bodies (where applicable) to which the applicant belongs such as LSK, ICPAK, AAK, IEK etc
g) Credit Reference Bureau Africa Limited or MetropolCredit Reference Bureau.
All shortlisted applicants may be subjected by the Commission to a security clearance by National Security and Intelligence Service (NSIS).
An applicant must clearly indicate the position and vacancy number to which they are applying for;
(b) Interested Candidates are requested to submit their duly completed IEBC Application Form together with an up-to-date curriculum vitae, copies of Certificates and testimonials, email and telephone contacts together with names, telephone and email contacts of three (3) referees who
must be familiar with the candidates previous work experience;
(c) The IEBC Application Form is available at the IEBC website (www.iebc.or.ke) or may be collected from 6th Floor, Anniversary Towers, University Way, Nairobi;
(d) Applications and supporting documents shall be -
i. Delivered to the IEBC Chairperson, 6th Floor, Anniversary Towers, University Way, Nairobi; and/or
ii. Submitted electronically as PDF format attachment to email@example.com
(e) All submitted applications must be referenced;
(f) Applications shall be addressed to -

To reach the IEBC Chairperson on or before 5:00 PM on Tuesday, 10th January 2012.
The following persons are and/or will be excluded:
(a) Any person who has at any time within the preceding five years, held office, or stood for election in Parliamentary or civic elections;
(b) Any person who has been a member of a governing body or any political party or affiliated groups to those political parties in the last five years;
(c) Any person adversely mentioned in any report by a Commission of Inquiry or any Parliamentary Committee Report;
(d) Any person who canvasses directly, indirectly, by proxy, by emissary, by tribal or clan whipping, by pressure groups, by other associations or in any other way;
(e) Any person who, knowingly, willingly and blatantly lies, misrepresents, cheats and fails to disclose material facts.
i) Names of all applicants and the interview schedule of the shortlisted shall be published in the print media and in the Commission’s website: www.iebc.or.ke after the closure of the advert.
ii) Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
