Our client ,a well established Energy company in Kenya is searching for individuals with strong credentials to promote the company’s quality program by: Establishing, implementing, and maintaining all quality management system processes; Presenting the program’s performance metrics and recommendations for improvement to executive management on a regular basis; Promoting awareness of

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o  Reviews all nonconformities to ensure the corrective action and preventive action are implemented.
o   Evaluate, maintain, and provide improvements to the quality system (i.e. reporting, monitoring, and controlling quality control procedures).
o   Revise quality documents according to appropriate approvals.

Requirements
    Degree in Quality Management or relevant field
    Internal Quality Auditor training from a qualified company preferred.
    A valid driver’s license.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Minimum 4 year work experience in a quality program.

Work Environment

    Environment: The Quality Management Representative works in varied environments (office/shop) and uses various required physical skills, including all the senses, for safe and successful performance of this job. At a minimum, this will include the ability to climb stairs and ladders.
    Travel: This position is based in Nairobi but there will be travel to the organizations’ various locations to perform work responsibilities, i.e. DRC, Sudan and East Africa.
    Availability: The Quality Management Representative must be able to support internal and external customers in the oilfield. This position is equipped with cell phone, portable computer, and Internet access to allow the servicing of internal and external customers whenever the need arises.

Position Title: Storekeeper

Classification: Equivalent to G2/1 (based on the UN Salary Scale for the General Service Staff in Kenya)

Duty Station: Dadaab, Kenya
Type of Appointment: 6 months special all inclusive contract, renewable
General Functions:

Under the overall supervision of the Procurement and Logistics Officer and under the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office Dadaab and under the direct supervision of the Procurement and Logistical Assistant, Dadaab, the incumbent will be responsible for receipt of goods, verification, documentation and proper storage of IOM project assets.

Essential Functions
•Receive/crosscheck all goods purchased for IOM and raise the Goods Received Note (GRN) against Purchase Order as evidence that goods have been delivered. All the GRN shall be crosschecked and approved by the Procurement and Logistics Assistant before the items are transferred to stores.
•Maintain all IOM stocks with the highest degree of care, integrity, and honesty and in the most transparent manner.
•Ensure goods/services received are of the right quality and that the quantity as described on the Purchase Order.
•Update Bin Cards on daily basis
•Handle all users requests and issue materials as per the agreed issuing schedule and procedures and using the appropriate documentation.
•Maintain manual ledgers parallel to the computerized inventory database as a short term control tool.
•Maintain, record and update Movement of Assets Forms e.g. laptops, projectors, computers, cameras etc… and ensure that the documents are properly filed.
•Maintain, record, and update all Waybills issued for supplies/equipment transferred outside the IOM office and follow up on return of the waybill by the receiver.
•Ensure stores cleanliness at all times.
•Ensure the safety of the stores e.g. safekeeping of the keys, ensure fire extinguishers are working, etc.
•Liaise with all users for the items received from suppliers to ensure that the right items have been delivered.
•Archiving the old files kept in stores.
•Setting up of re-order level for frequently consumed items.
•Generate stock report on weekly basis for review by the Procurement and Logistics Assistant, Dadaab.
•Assign codes to items as per IOM specifications.
•Any other duty that may be assigned.

Desirable Qualifications
1. Completed Secondary education in an accredited academic institution.
2. Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in inventory control and stores/warehouse management.
3. Desirable IOM Competencies:-
a. Behavioural – Accountability, Client Orientation, Continuous Learning, Communication, Performance Management, Professionalism and Teamwork.
b. Technical – Delivers on set objectives in hardship situations, effectively coordinates actions with other implementing partners, works effectively with local authorities, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and the broader community to advance country office or regional objectives.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
5. Good knowledge and working experience with HF and VHF Radios.
6. Flexible in terms of working hours.
7. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Swahili. Knowledge of Somali is an advantage.

Specific Responsibilities
The Production and Quality Control Manager manages the placement, execution and follow-up of samples and production orders by ensuring the timely delivery of quality, profitable goods.

Job Description

  • Manage and schedule all incoming factory jobs. Determine factory capacity and manage client deadlines.
  • Take projects and track them from design through production, ensuring that projects stay within deadlines and timelines.
  • Work with Design and Production teams to ensure correct execution of sample garments,
  • Ensure standards of quality and cost control are maintained throughout production: Execute quality control initiatives that adhere to production standards and requirements. Troubleshoot quality and technical issues regarding fabrication and construction.
  • Manage fabric inventory and coordinate the ordering of fabric needs. Keep inventory forms up to date with accurate quantities.
  • Act as a liaison between the factory and all parties involved by coordinating and communicating daily with Design Team, Fabric Vendors, Print Factory etc.
  • Assist in costing by insuring proper documentation of fabric yields, sewing times, printing etc. to ensure profitability.
  • Maintain data and files for all production matters,
  • Oversee and maintain an archive of patterns, garments and materials such as sew by samples, trims and fabric for ongoing in house production.
  • Perform special projects as assigned and contribute positively to the team dynamic. Manage up where necessary.

Skills and Requirement

  • 3-5 years experience in apparel production, knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, as well as analyze and solve problems; Able to communicate effectively with a variety of personality types
  • Bilingual preferred (SwahililEnglish)
  • Must have strong computer, and e-mail skills,
  • Experience in MS Word, Excel.

Overall Job function:

Centre for Health Solutions- Kenya (CHS) is a local indigenous Kenyan organization that utilizes local expertise and strategic partnerships to ensure the implementation of evidence informed solutions and interventions to existing and emerging public health concerns. Through the TEGEMEZA project, CHS is working in partnership with the Ministries of Medical Services and Public Health and Sanitation to support the implementation of HIV prevention, care and treatment activities at provincial and district health facilities in Central Kenya.

This is part of a US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

We are currently sourcing for talented, self motivated, high calibre individuals to fill the following positions:

PHARMACIST
Ref: 0017/CHS/PHARM/2012

Overall Job Function
Provide technical support to strengthen best pharmacy practices and drug logistics management and information systems at facility level, central sites and regional level in CHS supported facilities

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design and implement procedures and guidelines on forecasting, storage and stock management, procurement and distribution of drugs at central level in line with national policies
  • Oversee pharmaceutical supply management, including needs estimation, drugs quantification, procurement and distribution systems management
  • Support facilities to develop site specific SOPs for dispensing of antiretroviral drugs and drugs for management of opportunistic infections
  • Strengthen logistics management information systems for pharmaceutical commodities
  • Ensure capacity building for providers on ARV commodity management and pharmacovigilance
  • Work closely with the health management teams to support adequate and reliable supply of ARVs, OI drugs and commodities at sites
  • Collaborate with the provincial and district pharmacists through combined supportive supervision and mentorship to ARV dispensers and in the monitoring of drug and logistics information systems at facility and district levels

Qualification and skills required

  • Pharmacy degree
  • 3-5 experience in working with HIV/AIDS programs
  • Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and management of the supply of the chain system
  • Knowledge of MOH systems
  • Computer skill including ability to use word and excel
