Purpose of the position:
To provide support to all departments and programs by ensuring quality operations of World Vision Kenya fleet of motor vehicles and motor cycles and manage all administrative functions of WVK to provide good working environment to WVK staff.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • A Bachelors degree in social sciences
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in administration and fleet management in a busy organization, with at least 3 years experience in a managerial position
  • Post Graduate training in Fleet management and/or property management ( an added advantage)
  • Varied Certificate of Good conduct and a clean driving license

EDUCATION ADVOCACY OFFICER

Purpose of the Position:
To lead and facilitate the delivery of Education Accountability Project as per project goal, outcomes and outputs. In order to perform this role effectively, the Education Advocacy Officer must be able to effectively lead processes and interventions that will contribute to strengthened school governance systems, functional citizen oversight mechanisms at the schools and increased accountability in management of public school funds.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • A minimum of first degree in any of the Social Sciences or equivalent
  • Significant experience on social accountability, working with children, partners and community advocacy groups, and government officers at the local level etc
  • Ability to lead in complex and challenging environments
  • Significant experience in facilitating community or citizen groups in participation in governance , public policy and legislative processes
  • Significant experience in coalition building, networking and ability to rally coalitions and networks to take positions on specific policy issues
  • Creativity and innovative thinking
  • Experience in capacity building, community empowerment, stakeholder engagement and production of IEC materials with emphasis on education policy and advocacy issues
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization
  • Knowledgeable in relevant education policies and legal instruments at the national and local levels
  • Strategic thinking and ability to lead on strategic planning with others
  • Experience of working in a multi and cross-cultural environment
  • Comprehensive experience in campaigning and/or communications
  • Working knowledge of English and Swahili languages.

Purpose of the position:

To supervise and ensure the successful implementation of all building and construction works and related activities being implemented by WVK. Ensuring proper civil engineering, contracting & construction guidelines are followed with all stakeholders’ participation in enhancing good engineering practices that will result to and directly contribute to the attainment of child well being outcomes. Specifically, the incumbent will undertake capacity building of staff, supervise implementation of structural engineering works and support efforts to mobilize appropriate resources.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

  • The holder of this position must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized University preferably in Civil Engineering or Building & Construction;
  • They must have a minimum of 3 years experience in site works with regards to the designing, planning, implementation, supervising and reporting on integrated development works in building and construction;
  • The holder must have a wide experience in constructions and contracts management;
  • The holder of this position must be a results orientated leader who can handle a heavy work load as well as manage and satisfy multiple and at times conflicting organizational, donor and other stakeholder demands and;
  • He /she must also have ample experience in public relations and be a strong team player.
  • Knowledge and application of auto/arch CAD and GIS will be an advantage.
